Currently Craving: Loafers

(images via IngrigueMeNow, Alicepoint, Cocorosa, Lovely Pepa)
A couple of months ago these shoes seemed really ugly to me, but right now they are the only option I can think of for days when you wanna look chic and stay on your feet for a long time, plus they work great with both pants and skirts! I drew up a loafer wishlist down below, maybe you'll find it useful, all of these shoes are very affordable. I have to confess I already ordered a pair of black River Island loafers, now I have to choose a more funky and colorful version.

DIY Leggings Tutorial

Many of you were asking for the tutorial for the DIY leggings I was wearing in my previous post, so here are the 10 easy steps. All you need is a piece of stretchy fabric (its length should be the desired length of your leggings + about 20 cm), scissors, thread & needle, elastic band for the waist and a pair of your old leggings or close-fitting pants.
Step 1. Fold the fabric in half and lay it on the table, its face should be inside the fold.
Step 2. Place your old leggings on top of the fabric and make sure the outside edge of your leggings is on the folded edge of your fabric.
Step 3. Cut out your future leggings out, allow a couple of centimeters on each side for the seam.
Step 4. Pin the front and the back part of your leggings together and sew along the outside and the inside of the leg (as shown on the picture).
Step 5. Try on the leggings and if they fit nicely, sew both parts together using a sewing machine. If the pants run a little bit loose, trim off the extra fabric by making the seam closer to the center.
Step 6. Fold about an inch of your hem inside and sew along the edge to make it look pretty.
Step 7. Take an elastic band and measure your waist, mark the necessary length and cut. Make sure it's a couple centimeters shorter than the top of your leggings.
Step 8. Sew the band around the inside of your leggings top, stretching it out a little.
Step 9. After you've sewn the band, fold the top of your leggings inside to hide it and sew again.
Step 10. Your leggings are ready, go ahead and try them on :)

Inspiration: Printed Leggings

I can't even express how crazy I am about printed leggings and pants right now, and the brighter the better. Animal and galaxy prints already seem so last year, I'm thinking of DIY-ing a pair of my own weird printed leggings to wear with dark tops/light shirts and wedges/stiletto heels. Here's a couple of pictures that inspire me at the moment.
 Alexander McQueen printed leggings
(will definitely order them if I my DIY fails :))
Andy from Stylecrapbook.com wearing Versace for H&M leggings

Ilanka from Fashion-nerdic.com in the cropped floral print pants from H&M
(something tells me we'll see alot, I mean A LOT of these pants in the following season)
Zina from Fashionvibe.com sporting a lovely pair of tribal print pants from Zara's new collection
(I might wanna get them myself, they are too cute to pass up :))

Since I will only be able to get to Zara in a couple of weeks (there are no stores in my city), I'll most likely try to find a cute fabric and make my own printed leggings in the nearest couple of days, will show you the result as soon as I'm finished :) What are you up to these days?

New In: Aldo Wedges

Just when I was ready to pay over $200 for these boots from my Asos Wishlist they went on sale and I managed to get them half price. I haven't bought wedges in a while, but I'm happy I did, the quality is amazing and they are super comfy, in fact, I'm wearing them right now!

Will show you today's outfit pictures a bit later, gotta run! :)

Look of the Day: Peeping Collar

I love the idea of wearing a sheer shirt under a heavier and warmer piece, like this sweater. Plus the peeping collar that makes the whole look somewhat preppy!
The scarf I'm wearing on the first picture was made by me :) I knitted it in the car during my Eurotrip a couple of weeks ago. Actually scarves are the only things I can knit, but I hope to learn how to make real clothes somewhere in the future :)

I'm wearing:
Scarf - DIY
Coat - H&M
Sweater - Topman
Sheer blouse - vintage
Leggings - Topshop
Boots - Newlook
Necklace - Asos

Look of the Day: Getting Cozy

Made these shots about a week ago when it was still sunny and warm, right now it seems like a full-fledged autumn with ugly rainy days and mud all over the place. I'm wearing one of my favorite sweaters, it's super warm and cozy, plus it has a nice color.

On another note, the sewing course I took up a couple months ago finally started to pay off, I'm already an expert in sewing all kinds of skirts. I'll show you some skirts I made in one of my next posts.

Have a great weekend!

I'm wearing:
Sweater - Topshop (similar ones here, here and here)
Jeans - Pull & Bear
Boots - Asos (Check out their amazing SHOE SALE!)
